Objects are drawn in the mesh view as a series of connected lines with the pen colour, line width and style (solid, dashed etc.) defined by the object's drawing data.
Pen data is specified per body for the body mesh, dipole panels and control surface mesh. For all other objects the data applies to the whole model and is specified once.
You can change the pen colour, line width and style for an object at any time by editing the drawing data for that object. To change the pen colour, click the colour button on the data form and select the new colour.
Note: | In Windows, a line width of zero does not mean "do not draw" – it means draw with the minimum line width. To suppress drawing an object type either set the line style to clear, or else uncheck the object type in view options panel or the View | Draw menu. |
The density of each grid, in terms of the length of the scale bar on the 3D view; a density of $d$ means that there are $d$ lines per scale bar length, so higher density values give a finer grid (but take longer to draw).
The default view parameters determine the default view for this model: when a new mesh view is opened it will start with these view parameters.
The specified option makes the default view parameters available for you to set directly. A convenient way to obtain these values is to set up the desired view in a 3D view window and then apply the set as default view menu item. This action will fill out the default view parameters with the settings for the current 3D view.
The calculated based on the mesh extent option sets the default view so that the entire mesh will be displayed. The size is chosen automatically by OrcaWave; no further data are required.
