Data: Damping lid |
If your calculation includes a damping lid, then you should provide a damping lid mesh file containing panels that describe the lid. The coordinates in the damping lid mesh file should be with respect to the global axes $\GXYZ$.
The panels must lie on the free surface exterior to all bodies, and the mesh must have the same symmetry planes (if any) as the global mesh for your analysis.
The damping factor specified is the constant value of $\epsilon$ in the damping lid model used by OrcaWave. This value applies everywhere on the damping lid, whilst $\epsilon=0$ on the rest of the free surface.
