Turbine data: Properties report |
The turbine properties report is available from the popup menu on the data form. It reports the following:
The rotor diameter, given by $2\,(r + l) \cos\theta$, where $r$ is the hub radius, $l$ is the blade length and $\theta$ the pre-cone angle.
The rotor area, calculated from the rotor diameter.
The weight of the turbine, calculated from the mass of the hub and the blades.
The total mass of the hub and the blades.
The centre of mass, reported relative to the turbine axes.
The total rotational inertia of the turbine hub and blades. This is reported as a tensor, with respect to the turbine axes, through the centre of mass.
For each blade the weight, mass and centre of mass are reported. The blade centre of mass is reported relative to the blade root.
Properties for each blade segment. This table includes details of segmentation, wing type, and the interpolated blade profile data at each mid-segment arc length.
