General data: Properties report |
The general data properties report is available from the popup menu on the data form. It reports the following:
The total duration of the simulation, i.e. the sum of all the stage durations.
Target log sample interval is the value given on the data form. Actual sample interval is that achieved by OrcaFlex, and is the nearest whole multiple of the inner time step to the target sample interval.
The simulation time at which logging begins.
The total number of log samples over the whole simulation, i.e. simulation duration / actual log sample interval.
The actual number of log samples recorded by OrcaFlex, from the log start time to the end of the simulation. Only reported if the log start time differs from the simulation start time.
Calculated as 1 / actual log sample interval.
This is only available for a single regular wave train, in which case the value is wave period / actual log sample interval.
An estimate of the file size when the completed simulation is saved. This may be inaccurate for models using vortex tracking and which log vortices, because the number of vortices is variable and depends upon the evolution of the simulation.
This reports the location of any log files used by an OrcaFlex simulation. Small log files are stored in memory to improve performance and larger files are stored in the Windows Temp folder.
The time taken to perform the simulation. The CPU time is the sum of CPU times over all CPUs used and the wall clock time is the real time that elapsed whilst simulating – the time which would have been indicated to have elapsed by a clock on the wall. These values can also be obtained using the API.
The times at which restart state is recorded. The actual values may differ from the target values, because restart state is recorded at log sample times. If a target restart recording time does not land exactly on a log sample time, then the restart state will be recorded at the nearest log sample time.
